Couture Fashion Week New York and DC Nitelife was present to witness Couture greatness!
There was an amazing Vietnamese designer , Valentines Van Nguyen who kicked off Couture Fashion Week with her collection, Valentines Van Couture. Her gowns ranged from gold sequins to more abstract designs with structural details. A few of the clothes were worn by Priyanka Chopra (the star of Quantico) in the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam. She was the only designer who featured a menswear in the form of colorful suits and vests.
Venezuelan designer Nailuj Villarroel’s dresses had lacy feminine touches mixed with leather and mesh skirts, Tonni’86 focused on military-influenced coats and jackets with embroidered details on the sleeves and back, Alessia Siena had flirty and colorful one- and two-piece bathing suits and Teona Margvelashvili showed daytime casual dresses in various lengths,
On Sunday, the show opened with Funari New York’s leather activewear, where some of the models walked out with dogs. Andres Aquino (founder and producer of Couture Fashion Week New York) showed off glittery sequined bathing suits in his line Turbulent Waters, Sumbul’s Collection had floral, feminine dresses, Maria Elena Couture played with Venetian masks and showed off bold colors in her line of dresses, Alexandra Popescu-York’s models flirted with the cameras and showed off their sexy dresses in various prints and fabrics and Andres Aquino ended the 2-day affair with resort-inspired dresses and capes that had prints of palm trees to cars to sailboats.
If you were not in attendance at this fashion show, you missed a fashion show that was bold and took delightful colorful much needed fashion risks!
