On Tuesday, June 7, 2016 (8:00 am – 5:30 pm)
“IAAM (“It’s All About ME!”) Women’s Business and Wellness Conference 2016, is on a mission to create a movement to elevate women business owners and their businesses. Women Business Owners of Prince George’s County (WBO-PGC) along with Prince George’s Community College’s (PGCC) Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) are set to welcome 150-200 women business owners to the 11th annual conference on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. at Prince George’s Community College’s Largo Student Center in Largo, MD.
The IAAM Conference is an inspirational, business-altering event created to provide seasoned and budding women entrepreneurs, access to business-centered workshops, health education and fitness activities; along with delivering applicable tools to enhance business growth, and overall personal well-being. It features business-bolstering workshops, master classes and panel discussions, powerful keynote addresses, women’s health and wellness activities, relevant exhibitors & vendors and more. This year’s conference incorporates the “WHYIAAM”, call to action campaign, which encourages women business owners to join a movement through sharing ‘why’ they made the decision to build a business despite great challenges and sacrifices.
“Whether it’s a question or a statement, ‘WHYIAAM’ helps women business owners reconnect with why we are here as women business owners, why we started businesses and keep going, or even why we haven’t reached our goals in some cases,” said Dawn Jackson, Executive Director of WBO-PGC, and creator of the IAAM Conference. “It is time for a shift in elevating ourselves and our businesses. The conference is the platform, IAAM is the Movement!”
Over the past eleven years, the IAAM Conference has functioned as a powerful platform for women business owners to access relevant and impactful content, focused on providing the information, tools and resources to build sustainable businesses that scale, while imparting necessary self-care and wellness techniques for balanced health. The IAAM 2016 workshops and master classes include topics such as the mindset of successful woman business owner, understanding the intricacies of branding, expanding business globally, and effectively pitching your business. In tandem, the Wellness track will feature healthy cooking and entertaining, the importance of self-care and alignment, and Zumba and Belly Dance fitness activity. Yoga and soothing seated massages will be available to further encourage clarity and balance.
IAAM Conference highlights include amazing keynote addresses by nationally renowned speakers and game changers, including author and award-winning coach, Darnyelle Jervey of Incredible One Enterprises, and leading Global Branding and Communications strategist, Nikki Barjon of the Barjon Group.
