With new seasons of Fixer UpperandHome Town premiering soon, there’s already so much to look forward to on HGTV in the coming months. Until they’re back on the air, however, Flip or Flop Ft. Worth is the one new show we’re really excited to watch.
Andy and Ashley Williams are the stars behind HGTV’s new Flip or Flop spinoff series. The couple are both veterans who met and served in Iraq. Now, they work together and with other military members to flip homes in Texas.
After Andy, 35, served in the Marines and Ashley, 31, served in the United States Army, the two saw real estate as an opportunity to transition into civilian life and give back to their community, all while getting the chance to work locally so they could be close to their two young children, according to Dallas News. Since they returned home in 2011, they’ve flipped more than 49 homes and launched their company, Recon Realty.
The husband-and-wife duo also knew flipping would be an incredible opportunity to work with fellow servicemen and women. They aim to hire and work alongside companies run by veterans. “We understand that everybody has a role,” Ashley toldDallas News. “We’re blessed to use this platform to work with other veterans.”
