Wyclef Jean’s Packed House at the Fillmore Silver Spring

As we approached the doors of the Fillmore Silver Spring, it was evident that Wyclef was loved and adored by so many from all walks of life.  There was such a melting pot of people who were there from ages 21 to 61 years old and the excitement was all over, from the balcony to the basement to the front stage.  I don’t have to tell you that the place was PACKED to capacity and obviously has to mean it was SOLD OUT!!

The anticipation was very exciting because there were chants from the crowd saying WYCLEF, WYCLEF, WYCLEF!!!

WPGC’s Joe Clair and Steph Lova, who are DC’s favorite Morning Show Host, headed to the stage to welcome everyone and shouted to the audience “I’m sure you don’t want to see us and you’ll are way too pumped up, so we aren’t going to waste any more time and bring him on stage NOW!”  The crowd was roaring at that point and you could feel the earth moving beneath you with the motions from the crowd.

All I can say is, if you haven’t seen Wyclef Jean, then you are REALLY MISSING OUT!!!  Wyclef, who is a Haitian native, gave the crowd everything they came for and then SOME!!!!

He showed exactly why he is still relevant and adored after 20 plus years. He sang “Ready or Not,” “No Woman, No Cry,” “We Trying to Stay Alive,” “Stayin’ Alive,” “Gone Till November” and he lit up the stage with so many other favorites which are too many to list because he absolutely sang them all and then some.

All I can say is, “Next time Wyclef Jean performs in concert, please get your ticket early because he is definitely a MUST SEE!!!”
