Esperanza Spalding Rocked the House at Maryland Hall
This young lady, who by the way is only 31 years of age and a Grammy Award Winner, shows the talent of someone who has graced the stage for way more many years, had the Maryland Hall audience captivated and mesmerized. There is no denying that Esperanza Spalding (#EsperanzaSpalding) aims to please her fans and audience and she absolutely played her heart out!! She plays the bass like no other by combining voice and bass in a seamless and original way and it’s a sheer work of art. She is reviving Jazz in her own unique and refreshing way.
Her most recent, Emily’s D+Evolution, is a fresh artistic vision with a daring tapestry of, vibrant imagery, performance art and stage design. Co-produced by Spalding and Tony Visconti (David Bowie), the album is an electrifying take on the power trio, and is adorned with rich vocal arrangements and touches of synthesizer.
It’s obvious that this extraordinary young lady will be entertaining for many more years to come and we welcome every bit of it!!
