Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl is tuning his musical vision to another new direction. After the success of the HBO series Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways, Grohl was showered with proposals to work on tv, commercials and films. Read more below for further details.

In a recent interview with Deadline, Grohl revealed how his pet project all fueled by an intuitive feeling fetched an outside clientele. Despite the sudden accolade of the documentary miniseries. Grohl confessed that he didn’t have a clue where to begin within the screenplay written by Mark Malone and that he was in a daze when offers started piling up his front door.

I started getting offers to do everything from narrative features to Heineken commercials. I get hit up with these things and I have to say, wait, I have this other job, Grohl confessed.

The 46-year-old Grohl added that he felt excited and that he had just been lucky that everything in his music career was done right.

Sonic Highways has been given not just a nod by the Emmy Awards but four nominations for Outstanding Sound Mixing for Nonfiction Programming,Outstanding Sound Editing For Nonfiction Programming,Outstanding Informational Series Or Special, Outstanding Directing For Nonfiction Programming.

According to Spin, Montage of Heck, the documentary of Grohl’s Nirvana bandmate Kurt Cobain also shared the music-related nominations from the award-giving body. The 2015 film garnered six nominations.

HBO initially debuted Sonic Highways in the U.S. and was later followed by BBC Four in the United Kingdom. Sonic Highways, which borrows the name of the eighth album of the band, gives an up-and-close personal feel as Dave Grohl and the rest of Foo Fighters recorded the said album. The album was recorded in eight different cities in the United States. The feat also celebrates the 20 years of the band’s existence.
