Three-time Grammy-nominated recording artist, Raheem DeVaughn, in partnership with Radio One DC, sponsored the 2nd Annual Raheem DeVaughn & Friends Holiday Concert on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Washington DC’s Historic Howard Theater and it was a HUGE SUCCESS!!
The 4-hour event featured performances by Raheem DeVaughn, Doug E. Fresh, Vivian Green, Kenny Lattimore, Algebra Blesset, Case, Anthony David, April Sampe, Philade, Bobby Valentino, Travis Green, and Vashawn Mitchell. All performers were exceptional and kept the crowd on their feet the whole evening. Raheem DeVaughn continues to entertain his fans with an evening of spectacular music and a great line up of artists.
The show aimed to raise funds and awareness through DeVaughn’s non-profit organization, The LoveLife Foundation. Out of his genuine concern for the community and youth, Raheem founded the LoveLife Foundation which enables him to embrace several causes closest to his heart, with an emphasis on HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, mental illness, autism, cancer, education, music and the arts. The LoveLife Foundation provides monetary support to help promote their missions.
This year Radio One DC partnered in the celebration and community service effort by lending their assistance, raising awareness and celebrating their company’s year long achievement in music and involvement in the community.
DeVaughn shared I have a responsibility to use my influence and voice to help others. I realize that we are here to uplift and encourage one another. I am grateful to my peers who have donated their time and service to further the cause of The LoveLife Foundation.
If you missed the holiday concert, you missed a special treat and this event is definitely one to look forward to next Christmas.
