From the moment the host introduced The Impressions, they lit the stage ablaze. They started out with It’s Alright and had the crowd engaged. During the 1st set, they ran through staples such as Loved and I lost and Finally got myself together.
During the 2nd set, The Impressions turned the heat up! Starting out with a roaring rendition of their former bandmate, the legendary Curtis Mayfield’s Freddie’s Dead, the place was on fire. They also performed the title track from that same album, Superfly. The crowd was fixated on the performers, as they never missed a beat. They also sang their other hits such as People get Ready, Mighty Mighty and finally closing the show with Move on Up. It was definitely a lively show as The Impressions did their thing for DC this evening.
If you enjoyed the show, feel free to comment. We would love to hear from you.
